Wow I am so far behind

It has been a long time since I posted anything. Sorry!

Well I am now 28 weeks, and Mason is doing great. He is moving like crazy and is much more active than his big brother was at this point. My blood sugars have been "ok" and I think it's about time for an increase in the insulin, but with my doctor who knows.

We are still down in the Valley, but I am managing. We went from being a few weeks away from pulling out to "by Thanksgiving" to "hopefully by the end of the year". DH is doing the work of 3 guys since all his guys were sent to other projects. He loves being in the field again, but I feel bad for him because between working and the gym he has to be tired. He still manages to find time for his family though and I love that about him. He is a great husband and daddy.

Nothing else to report on really. My next appointment is tomorrow so if anything exciting happens I will be sure to update y'all.

24 weeks

Not a whole lot going on right now. We found out it is a boy and his name will be Mason Alexander. I can't wait until January. I am so excited for this little boy and the relationship he will have with his big brother. Big brother loves to give Mason kisses every day. I know he will be a good big brother. Blood sugars are still under control. Still in the losing weight category, but the doctors don't seem to be concerned. Everything else is going well.

In other news... DH got a clean bill of health from his doctor and they said dh is as healthy as a 20 year old and there is no reason he won't see 100 years. This makes me very happy. I am so proud of him for all of the lifestyle changes he has made over the last 9 months. He is such a great husband and daddy.

Mason doesn't need any more clothes (at least not in newborn/0-3), hats, mittens, bibs, or wash cloths. We still need to buy everything else, but we are waiting to see what happens with the project down here before we start shopping.

It's been a while

Well it's been a few weeks since I updated the blog. I seem to be slacking in a lot of things and I swear I have pregnancy ADD. Anyway...

I am now just a day or two away from being 22 weeks. Our jelly bean (who has a name now, but we'll get to that later) is measuring a whole week ahead of schedule and is weighing in at a whopping 1 pound. Everything is going great. My blood sugars are still under control and my insulin hasn't had to be changed in quite a while. I am still losing weight, but everyone at the doctor's office doesn't seem to mind. We will see what happens when (err if) I get to see the Dr. at my next appt. 

My baby turns 2 in 5 days. Where has time gone? Seems only yesterday I was having Dr. appts for that pregnancy. He is making sure everyone knows he is in the terrible twos as well, but I love it. He is so smart, you show him how to do something one time and he is a pro at it from then on. He still doesn't talk much, but mommy and daddy can understand him. His party is next Saturday and I hope it goes well. We will also be announcing the gender of the baby to family and since none of them know about my blog I will be happy to share with you as well.

We are getting another little boy to add to our family. His name will be Mason and he is already a momma's boy like his brother. Never kicking for daddy, but as soon as daddy goes to sleep he goes to town playing with mommy. I love it. I love being pregnant and I am a LITTLE sad this will be the last time I get to experience it, but I am okay with it. It's bittersweet really.

Nothing else going on, still down in South Texas waiting to see what happens with the job. Should know more in a month. 

No belly pic this week, I will come back on Tuesday or Wednesday (if I remember) and post one. We are leaving Wednesday to go to Abilene for the birthday party. Won't be back until Sunday night.

18 weeks

I totally skipped week 17 because I didn't have a card reader for the new computer. My PC had one built in but the Mac doesn't so I had to get a card reader. Anyway, not much to say today really. Dr appt is on Friday and we should schedule the U/S for 2 weeks after that, but I won't be announcing it on here until after September 12th. We have a big reveal planned while we are at my family's for my son's birthday party.

Speaking of my son...he is 23 months today... HOLY CRAP!!!! Where has the time gone? He will be TWO in exactly one month. EEEK

15 weeks today

I guess I don't really have much to say this week. I still don't feel pregnant and often forget that I am. I can't wait to feel kicks and punches and I can't wait to find out the gender. Hopefully soon. Well I guess that is all really. See you next week when hopefully I have more to report on.

YAY for second trimester!!!!

Today I am 14 weeks. It seems to have gone too fast. I know I say that in every post but seriously how am I 14 weeks already? By this time with my son I had clothes and diapers bought. This time I have only bought 2 onesies and I received some gifts from my wonderful BFPB on the Bump. I did some trades on WTE but I still don't have much. I don't even fill up a box with the stuff I have for this baby.

We did pick out our double stroller though. We probably won't buy it until we get to DFW since we don't have anywhere to put it. Ugh I can't wait until October. I am so ready to move. I secretly hope they don't get the rest of the NTPs on the job so we can maybe leave sooner. I wish for this every day.

My next dr appt is tomorrow and I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again. I am also really looking forward to my next U/S so we can find out the gender (hopefully in August).

13 weeks??!!??

Are you serious? I am 13 weeks already? First trimester has FLOWN by, I don't even know where it went. Only 27 more weeks to go (well less than that since my dr likely won't let me go to 40 weeks because of the diabetes). We bought our first baby item the other day, 2 yellow onesies with Tigger and Pooh. They are so cute. DH wants to wait until we move in October before we buy anything else only because we don't have anywhere to store it right now.

I am counting down the days until we get to move (should be the end of October). I don't like where we currently live, but I know there is work that needs to be done so we are here to do it. I am praying hurricane season takes it easy on us this year. I have never been in one so IDK how I would react to the situation especially with being pregnant, having a toddler, and dh being at work all day.

Anyway, blah blah blah I know what you're waiting for so here it is my 13 week belly pic. I swear I am going to get out of bed one day and fall over face first.

12 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Wow where has time gone? I can't believe I am 12 weeks already. It is crazy. My next dr appt is Friday I hope we can hear the heartbeat on the doppler. I felt my first flutter last night, it was incredible. I forgot how great they felt. Jelly Bean does not like it when I ride the bike at the gym. Won't be too much longer before my belly is too big to ride it anyway. Well speaking of bellies, here is my 12 week pic.

11 weeks

Tomorrow I will be 11 weeks. This pregnancy is flying by so far. I go back to the dr on July 3rd. I hope we are able to hear the heartbeat this time. I was not impressed when I saw the nurse practitioner last week. She didn't even introduce herself to me. My blood sugars are pretty much under control with the insulin so far. I am still losing weight though because of the drastic diet changes. I feel like I am starving sometimes though. I am most looking forward to feeling Jelly Bean move. It is the best feeling in the world and I can't wait to feel it. I hope I get another U/S soon so I can see Jelly Bean. DH and I joined a gym this weekend, we have gone twice so far and we both enjoy it a lot. Here is a belly pic taken today for you all to enjoy.

10 week belly pic

Here is my 10 week belly pic. Nothing new going on really, I have another appointment to go over my blood sugars on Friday. I am sure they will up my night time insulin again because my fasting numbers are still high. I think I might be on to something though...last night before I went to bed I had some cereal and this morning my fasting number is where it should be. I am going to test this theory again tonight and see what happens.

8 weeks!!!!!!!!

We had our first U/S today. It was incredible!!! The tech was great (unlike others I have encountered). She turned the volume up on the machine so we could hear the heart beating away at a whopping 171bpm. Currently I am thinking and dreaming little princess, but we won't know for sure for about 10 more weeks. My blood pressure is perfect. My fasting blood sugars are still a little high so he upped my insulin at night time. Urine is coming back clean (no proteins or sugars). I am up 4 lbs from last week, but back to where I was 2 weeks ago, which is about where I started out according to my home scale. Here is a picture of my Jelly Bean for your viewing pleasure.

My Mother's Day

I had a fantastic day that began with getting presents from my best guys. I got a huge basket of goodies from Bath and Body Works in my favorite scent---Warm Sugar Vanilla. Then I got 2 dozen pink roses and two of the best cards ever. The one from my husband made me cry, I can tell he put a lot of thought into it. He is such an amazing husband. I almost forgot, I also got 2 Bella Bands and some Nike flip flops too. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet.

The pregnancy is going well. Still really early so nothing to report. I am always tired, but I am on a waking up at 6:00 am kick lately and I wish that would stop. Other than that nothing too exciting.

Back from the doctor!!!

I had an amazing trip to the doctors today. I wasn't able to see the Dr. because he had a c-section to handle so I saw the midwife instead. She was great. Not much else to report, I am infact pregnant and I am around 4 weeks. I go in on Thursday for a glucose test because of a history of gestational diabetes. After that I go in again on June 5th for my first U/S. I am so excited I can't wait.

First Dr appt

Today is my first appointment. I know they won't be able to tell me much at 4 weeks 2 days, but they wanted me in now so who am I to complain? I go in at 2:00 central time. I was suppose to have a dentist appointment at 3:00 today too, but they cancelled it until I can get a note from my doctor saying it is okay for them to clean my teeth.

Let's see what else is going on? We lost the ball game bad last night (like 28-7). We didn't do horrible, but the other team was REALLY good. I enjoyed seeing DH play as he was the oldest one on the field and he still kept up with the youngins. It was the last game of the season and we had to rally the troops just to have enough players anyway. I chased a few foul balls and my body says whoa okay that is enough of that crap. My hips hurt already if I do to much activity.

We got a bonus check yesterday so we will be doing some major shopping this weekend. We hope to get our kitchen stuff (pans, dishes etc). I will post pics when we get them. We may change our minds though and buy something else. The little guy is ready for a toddler bed, and we may brave the "but you'll jinx it" rumors and buy some baby stuff.

~~4 Weeks~~

I am so excited! I want to shout from the roof tops. Still really early, but I am already thinking about names (see last entry) and what we need to buy. I am a little nervous, but not as bad as I was with my son. So this will be my first weekly pregnancy post (I know I said I would do them on Mondays, but my week begins on a Wednesday so here you have it).

Weight gain: zero
Morning sickness: only slight nausea very early in the morning (3am or so)
How far along: 4 weeks exactly
Dr appt: Friday at 2:00pm (cst)
Gender: Don't know yet, but feel free to send me all the pink dust you got ;)
Belly pics: Not yet, it is too early and since I am a PSMTB (That would be plus size mommy-to-be) it will take me longer to actually show.

How we celebrated (and ramblings)

When hubby got home last night we went out for Chinese food and I pretty much ate the whole buffet haha. After that we went to Walmart so I could get some PNV (is that one on the list?), and some new magazines. I told my mom via text message with a pic of the BFP and the title was guess what. She said "are you sure" lol...moms *sigh*.

I am still excited, but the shaking has subsided. I had my first little nausea this morning but nothing big. Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks and I started my belly pic collection, but I won't post any until I have something to show.

What can I say? My husband loves me! This is our new bathroom decor. Well it will be when we move, right now it is in storage. The only things I couldn't find a pic for are the soap dispenser, the soap dish, and the toothbrush holder. 10 DPO

This chart is wrong now so don't pay any mind to it, the temp on 10DPO was not correct!!!!!!!
There she is...the prettiest chart I have ever seen. I bought some FRER (don't think that one is on my terms list...it is First Response Early Response) tests last night, but I am too nervous to take one. I don't think I have ever been nervous to take an HPT (well there was that one time in highschool). My BBT has never gone up that high before that I recall, but I don't want to see that BFN. I have zero signs of being KTFU, but that could mean jack.

On another note we are making a little road trip today to Laredo so DH's new guy can pick up the company truck from the guy that broke his foot and is out for at least 2 months. That oughta be fun *insert eye roll here*. At least I have happy pills from the tooth extraction to keep me occupied.
